LIBRARIE'S SMELLY BILLS

Yesterday, I hear a man saying he wants the guard fired because he told him to leave

because someone complained about him smelling bad. As with The Bus smelly bill, I

thought of people who might get sick wanting to catch a bus to the hospital, or people

who have jobs that might have them smelling less than "desirable" when the leave  the

workplace.

 

Then there's the instance of arbitrary or subjective judgement that will have one person

taking offense to certain smells and particular people smelling one way or another.

 

I'm sitting next to two people now, one seeming not to know something radical happens

to the breadth after eating it, and another seemingly just having a halotosis moment.

Should they fear the boot?

A DIFFERENT GUARD FOLLOWS ME INTO THE BATHROOM, STANDS DIRECTLY BEHIND ME, AND BEGINS TO ANTAGONISTICALLY QUESTION ME ABOUT WHAT I'M DOING. AMONG HIS QUESTIONS IS, "ARE YOU HOMESTEADING IN HERE"? I WOULD THINK HIS EYESIGHT WOULD BE OKAY AND HE CAN SEE THAT I HAVE SOAP ON MY HANDS. BEFORE I CAN FINISH WASHING THEM, HE BEGINS TO TELL ME TO keep my voice down, I HAVE TO LEAVE THE RESTROOM AND HE IS ALSO ORDERING ME TO LEAVE THE LIBRARY. I ASK HIM WHY IT IS AGAINST POLICY TO WASH ONE'S HANDS AND HE IMMEDIATELY USES THE BAITING TACTIC OF ACCUSING SOMEONE OF BEHAVIOR INITIATED BY THE ACTIONS AND SPEECH OF THE ANTAGONIZER. THIS HAS BEEN AN M O IN HAWAII, OVER AND OVER.
WHEN I FINISH WASHING MY HANDS, HE FOLLOWS ME OUT SAYING HE WILL ALSO TRESSPASS ME FROM THE LIBRARY. I TELL HIM I AM NOT LEAVING UNTIL I CAN MAKE A COMPLAINT ABOUT HIS BEHAVIOR. I AM OFFERED THE USUAL "suggestion/compliment" FORM BY MS. OGASAWARA. NAH!
SHE CALLS MR. BAROSA WHO ASKS EACH SIDE AND DECIDES IT IS OK FOR PATRONS TO WASH THEIR HANDS AND I DO NOT HAVE TO LEAVE.
THE SECURITY GUARD OFFERS ME HIS HAND SAYING THE SITUATION HAS BEEN " resolved", ANOTHER WORD USE MUCH IN HAWAII FOR SEEKING AN END TO DISAGREEMENTS, CONFRONTATIONS AND CIVIL RIGHTS VIOLATIONS.
I REFUSE TO SHAKE HIS HAND AND DISAGREE THAT HE WAS JUST 'DOING HIS JOB'.
I TELL HIM THERE IS A BETTER WAY TO DO HIS JOB AND I HOPE HE HAS SELF DEFENSE SKILLS TO GO ALONG WITH HIS PERFORMANCE OF HIS JOB. HIS ACTIONS WILL NOT ALWAYS BE MET WITH THE PATIENCE OF SOMEONE WHO KNOWS THE BAITING TACTICS IN HAWAII.

MOST OF THE GUARDS HAVE BEEN PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS, BUT THERE IS THAT RARE OCCASION IT SEEMS ONE WAS SENT TO DO MISCHIEF. ALAS, THIS GUARD HAD NO WIND IN HIS SAILS, NO SMOKE IN HIS PIPE AND SAT UPON A BIG FAT ZERO.

Ever since a technician worked on the computers and changed the history feature, it
will save what is entered in fields, or copied, and maybe even passwords. I have signed
back on and been able to auto complete and what was copied, I can paste. I try to delete
this history before signing off. But some may be unaware of this.

HEWITT, THE CATBIRD ???

Aug. 25, 2007: My Yahoo account is compromised, at the Hawaii State Library. I can not sign in. The verification information I enter for the retrieval system, is not accepted, they do not accept my alternate email address as verification, although I send email to employees that I previously did, having resets to the account from them. I also send them emails from my YAHOO account that I have copied to other addresses; and the representatives have changed the information they previously accepted as verification.
