    subject NEW FEATURE

THERE IS THIS NEW FEATURE AT THE HISTORY TAB. I FIRST NOTICED IT AFTER A TECNICIAN WORKED ON IT ABOUT THREE WEEKS AGO. IT WILL SAVE PASSWORDS THAT HAVE BEEN USED. THIS IS ONLY ON THE GATES COMPUTERS, THAT I CAN SEE. BUT, AS YOU MAY KNOW, ONLY THE GATES COMPUTERS ALLOW ACCESS TO SUCH FEATURES.

UP ON IT, AT THE ESSSR

THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY IN AND ONE WAY OUT. SOMEBODY TELL VERN.

    ESSS Technical Response to me

    Mr. Balmer,

I cannot answer your query about the multiple clicks on your earphones. However, the existence of previous search URLs in the address bar is an indication of the previous user exiting improperly from their session. If the subsequent user exits properly all of the existing URLs should disappear. If the situation persists, only a reboot will clean those addresses out.

Perhaps someone there can tell me why I hear multiple clicks when I have on earphones, and I have only clicked the mouse once. Also, maybe someone there can tell me why there are addresses in the address bar when I did not visit the website, and I had just signed on, and supposedly the previous session is deleted.

    SAME OL' SHHTUFF

THIS EMAIL, IS TO THE TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT OF THE HSPLS. I ASKED MS. ZHOU IN SOCIAL SCIENCES AND PHILOSOPHY AND MR. BOROSA AT THE INFORMATION DESK AND THE NEW KID. OK THE NEW KID HAS A RESONABLE EXCUSE. I WOULD TRY BUSINESS SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY BUT SOME OF THEM, WITH A COUPLE EXCEPTIONS, SEEM LESS KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT TECH THAN OTHERS. I GUESS THE SECTIONS ARE NOT STAFFED ACCORDING TO ONES FORTE.

    TRANSPARENCY COMES

THE PREVIOUS PUBLIC ACCESS COMPUTER SYSTEM WAS BETTER THAN "SAM". IT IS MY OPINION THAT "SAM", THE SYSTEM IN EFFECT NOW, THAT ALLOWS LIBRARY PERSONNEL TO SEE WHAT CARD NUMBER (PERSON) IS ON WHAT COMPUTER, AT ANY GIVEN TIME, WAS ONE OF THE TWO REASONS FOR INTENTIONALLY DUMBING DOWN THE SYSTEM. THE OTHER REASON, MONEY.

LIBRARY TECHNOLOGY PEOPLE HAVE TOLD LIBRARIANS THAT, WHEN A PERSON LOGS OFF, ANY DOWNLOADED MATERIAL WILL BE DELETED. THIS IS NOT TRUE. FILES REMAIN ON THE DESKTOP, AFTER A PATRON LOGS OFF AND ARE VISIBLE WHEN ANOTHER PATRON LOGS ON. SINCE LIBRARY TECHNOLOGY ARE HIRED AND MAINTAINED FOR THEIR EXPERTISE THAT FAR SURPASSES MY KNOWLEDGE ABOUT COMPUTERS, I CAN ONLY SURMISE THAT THEY LIED TO LIBRARY STAFF.
